Basketball

Why the U.S. is the Best Destination for Basketball Players

The U.S. is home to the world’s most competitive basketball system. From high school to NCAA Division I, student-athletes benefit from elite coaching, facilities, and exposure. International athletes with strong fundamentals and athleticism are increasingly being recruited by colleges nationwide.

Basketball is one of the most popular sports at U.S. colleges and universities. With thousands of teams across five major associations (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, USCAA, and NCCAA), international athletes have a strong chance of securing athletic scholarships and pursuing high-quality education at the same time.

Levels of Play

NCAA Division I
Intense training and high-profile games, with full and partial scholarships.
NCAA Division II
Balanced academics and athletics; athletic scholarships available.
NCAA Division III
Focus on academics; no athletic scholarships, but financial aid and merit scholarships available.
NAIA
Flexible eligibility and competitive programs with athletic scholarships.
NJCAA
Junior colleges offering two-year programs and strong transfer opportunities.
